TACOMA, Wash. — The Pierce County District Court, in partnership with WorkSource and more than 20 local service organizations, is set to host the Beyond Boundaries 2025 Summer Resource Fair on Wednesday, August 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Resource Center, 925 Tacoma Avenue South.
The fair aims to provide direct support to unhoused and justice-involved individuals, delivering essential resources and services in one accessible location.
One-Stop Access to Vital Services
The event will bring together a range of community services, including:

Housing assistance

Help obtaining IDs and driver’s licenses

Legal aid and reentry support

Mental health and general healthcare services

Employment resources and job opportunities
Beyond the basics, attendees can also access:

Free haircuts and hygiene supplies

Support for individuals with disabilities

Native American-specific services

Free phones and clothing

Energy assistance and financial literacy guidance

Educational resources and community reintegration support
To add a personal touch of care, the first 300 attendees will receive free meals, generously provided by Boss Mama’s Kitchen and Lumpia Love.
Removing Barriers, Building Community
Dom Hardeman, District Court Manager of Probation, emphasized the fair’s mission to eliminate barriers and bring resources directly to those who need them most.
“Our goal is to remove barriers and bring vital resources directly to those who need them most,” Hardeman said in a statement. “By partnering with local organizations and community leaders, we’re making it easier for individuals to connect with critical services — all in one place.”
The fair is part of a broader strategy by the District Court to support individuals often underserved by traditional systems, particularly those reintegrating into society after incarceration or facing housing insecurity.
No Pre-Registration Required — But Encouraged
While pre-registration is not required, attendees are encouraged to sign up in advance to assist organizers with planning and ensure efficient resource distribution. Walk-ins are welcome, and all services at the fair are offered free of charge.
