NEWBURGH, NY – July 11, 2025
City of Newburgh police are investigating a hit-and-run incident that left a pedestrian injured early Thursday morning.
The incident occurred just after 7:15 a.m. on July 10 in the area of Broadway and Lutheran Street, according to a statement released by local authorities.
Victim Transported to Hospital
Emergency responders arrived on the scene and transported the injured pedestrian to Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital. Officials confirmed that the individual sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
No additional information about the victim’s identity or current condition has been released at this time.
Suspect Vehicle Fled the Scene
Witnesses told police the vehicle involved was a grey truck, which fled the scene immediately after striking the pedestrian. Authorities have not released a license plate number or further description of the vehicle.
Police Seeking Public Assistance
The City of Newburgh Police Department is actively investigating and is urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant information to come forward.
