Man Fatally Shot in Southeast D.C., Police Investigating

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A man lost his life following a fatal shooting in Southeast Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

Authorities say officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 2400 block of Elvans Road SE. When they arrived on the scene, they discovered 32-year-old Ricky Jones suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Despite immediate efforts by emergency responders to save his life, Jones succumbed to his injuries at the scene, police confirmed.
