Man Critically Injured in Northgate Transit Center Shooting

SEATTLE — A man is in critical condition after being shot in the head Monday morning near the Northgate Transit Center in Seattle.

The Seattle Police Department (SPD) responded to the 10200 block of 1st Avenue N.E. around 7:40 a.m., where they found a 48-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Two Suspects Fled the Scene

According to SPD Detective Eric Muñoz, two suspects approached the victim before one of them opened fire. After the shooting, both suspects fled the scene in a vehicle.

Officers described one of the suspects as wearing a gray hoodie and a mask. SPD is now combing through surveillance footage from the area to gather more information and help identify the suspects.

Victim in Critical Condition

The victim was rushed to Harborview Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition. Authorities have not yet released his identity.

Ongoing Investigation

SPD continues to investigate the incident and search the surrounding area for the suspects. No arrests have been made as of Monday afternoon.

Officials have advised the public to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
