Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels and his mother, Regina Jackson, are trending on social media after appearing in a viral video that shows the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year taking his mom out shopping.
Daniels delivered a standout rookie season after being drafted No. 2 overall by the Commanders last year. He earned a Pro Bowl selection and led Washington to its first NFC Championship Game appearance since 1991.
But his name is trending for reasons beyond football—mainly because of how close he is with his mother.
A recent video captured the pair shopping together, with Daniels reportedly treating Regina to an expensive spree.

She’s even been spotted tagging along on dates, drawing attention and sparking criticism about being overly involved—some fans have joked she has a built-in “mom radar.”
While Jayden appears completely comfortable with her constant presence, some fans believe it could pose challenges down the road if he chooses to pursue a serious romantic relationship.
