PENNSYLVANIA — Federal authorities are searching for a former Penn State University student accused of raping a fellow student at his campus apartment nearly a year ago.

Alleged Incident at Penn State Abington

According to the U.S. Marshals Service, Abdul-Jabril Cooper, 19, is wanted in connection with the alleged rape of a female student at Penn State Abington. The incident reportedly occurred in September 2024 while Cooper was enrolled at the university.

Officials say Cooper has since withdrawn from Penn State following the allegations.

Arrest Warrant Issued

On July 16, 2025, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office issued a warrant for Cooper’s arrest on charges of rape. The U.S. Marshals Philadelphia office has now joined the search, calling for public assistance in locating him.

In a public statement, the agency emphasized the seriousness of the charges and the need to apprehend Cooper as quickly as possible.

Authorities describe Cooper as:

  • Age: 19

  • Height: 5 feet, 9 inches

  • Hair: Black

  • Eyes: Brown

He was last known to be living in Washington, D.C.
