DC Man Pleads Guilty to Abduction, Attempted Rape in Alexandria Crime Spree

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – A 26-year-old Washington, D.C., man has pleaded guilty to abduction with intent to defile and attempted rape in connection with a February 2025 multi-day crime spree that included a sexual assault in Alexandria.

Details of the Case

On Aug. 7, 2025, Dykwon Perry Davis entered his guilty plea in Alexandria Circuit Court. The charges stem from an incident on the night of Feb. 3, 2024, in the Potomac Yard neighborhood. The Alexandria Police Department led the investigation, with significant support from the Metro Transit Police Department in Washington, D.C.

The Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office said Davis faces a maximum penalty of life in prison for the abduction charge and up to 10 years for the attempted rape charge. There is no plea agreement, meaning prosecutors are free to argue for any sentence they believe appropriate.

Prosecutor’s Statement

Alexandria Commonwealth’s Attorney Bryan Porter praised the collaborative law enforcement effort, crediting the Virginia Attorney General’s Office, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia for their assistance.

“The defendant has now been convicted of serious criminal offenses, and my office will seek a significant sentence of active incarceration,” Porter said. “I would be remiss if I did not praise the dedicated detectives at the Alexandria Police Department and the Metro Transit Police Department for their thorough investigation.”

Next Steps

Davis remains held without bail at the William G. Truesdale Alexandria Adult Detention Center. Sentencing is scheduled for November 20, 2025.

The case was prosecuted jointly by the City of Alexandria Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office and the Virginia Attorney General’s Office, with substantial federal assistance, underscoring the severity of the crimes and the multi-jurisdictional nature of the investigation.
