Martin’s best-selling novel, Rain Reign follows an autistic girl’s quest to find her lost dog during a fierce storm. While Rudd headlines the cast, Sisto’s role adds depth to the small-town setting, bringing authenticity to the film’s pivotal hardware-store sequence.

Word of Sisto’s presence spread quickly through Poughkeepsie. Resident Mike Drivas recounted a near-miss encounter at the nearby Valero gas station:

“I was just two minutes away from meeting him,” Drivas laughed. “I stopped in for coffee, and Adam, who works at the station, showed me a photo on his phone: Jeremy had just pulled out. It was cool to see someone I first noticed in Clueless right here in town.”
