TAKOMA PARK, Md. – A 26-year-old Baltimore woman has been arrested after allegedly throwing a rock through the front window of a Takoma Park hair salon early Friday morning, according to police.
Incident Caught by Officer on Patrol
Police say the incident occurred on August 2 at approximately 6:47 a.m., when a Takoma Park Police Department officer observed a woman hurl a rock at the front window of Lishion Hair Studio. The impact shattered the glass, causing significant property damage.
The officer immediately intervened, detaining the suspect without incident. She was later identified as Kindasia Nixon, of Baltimore, Maryland.
Arrest and Charges
Following her arrest, Nixon was trespassed from the property and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. She has been formally charged with vandalism.
No mugshot was released as part of the department’s press statement.
Police Statement
Takoma Park Police Chief Antonio DeVaul confirmed the arrest and commended the quick action of the responding officer. The department did not disclose a possible motive for the incident.
