BETHESDA, Md. – Montgomery County police are investigating an assault that occurred late Wednesday afternoon, August 6, 2025, at Westfield Montgomery Mall.
The incident was reported at 4:58 p.m. inside a clothing store at the mall, though police have not yet released the store’s name. According to investigators, the assault happened during an alleged shoplifting incident.
No details have been provided regarding the severity of injuries, the number of individuals involved, or whether any arrests have been made.
