Assault 1st arrest after shooting at Parksville gas station

PRESS RELEASE
The New York State Police at Liberty announce the arrest of BALSEY DEWITT 30, of Livingston Manor for Assault 1st, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd and Criminal Use of a Firearm 2nd.
The charges stem from a shooting that took place Monday evening at approximately 6:35PM at the Mobil Gas station on Cooley Place in Parksville where DEWITT fired multiple rounds at a 31 year old resident of Livingston Manor after both parties were apparently fighting over a female subject. The victim is in critical but stable condition at a local trauma center. The Troop F Forensic Investigation Unit and the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office assisted with the investigation.
