Arrest: Deputies from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office report the arrest of Carlos J. Melendez, 37 years old, of Port Ewen, NY.
Mr. Melendez was charged with the Misdemeanor of Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree and the Violation of Harassment in the Second Degree.
On February 7th, 2015 at approximately 07:35 pm Deputies received a report of a physical domestic dispute involving Mr. Melendez. Through investigation it was determined that Mr. Melendez had grabbed his girlfriend by her hair and prevented her from leaving the residence.
Mr. Melendez was arraigned in the Town of Esopus Court and released on his own recognizance. He is to reappear in the Town of Esopus Court on February 10th, 2015 at 05:00 pm.
Arrest: Deputies from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office report the arrest of Howard Baul, 43 years old, of Church St. Kerhonkson NY.
Mr. Baul was charged with the Misdemeanor of Possession of Stolen Property 5th degree.
This occurred on February 8th, 2015 at about 11:00a.m. Deputies received a report of a stolen dog from the Town of Rochester Dog Kennel. Deputies were able to locate the dog at Mr. Bauls residence in the Town of Wawarsing in good health. The animal was returned to the Town of Rochester Dog Kennel after being picked up by the assistant Town of Wawarsing Dog Warden. Mr. Baul was taken into custody without incident. Mr. Baul was transported to the Sheriff’s Office sub station in Ellenville where he was processed and released.
Mr. Baul is to return to the Wawarsing Town Court on 2/20/15 at 8:30am.
