East Fishkill man charged with Felony Driving While Intoxicated under Leandra’s Law

Pleasant Valley, New York – On February 8, 2015 at approximately 6:22 p.m., New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks charged 42-year-old Albert Tice of East Fishkill, New York, with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, under Leandra’s Law, a Felony. The arrest is following a crash investigation conducted on the Taconic State Parkway.

State Police arrested Tice following a one-car auto accident that occurred on the northbound side of the Taconic State Parkway in the area of Route 44. Investigation revealed that Tice was driving while intoxicated and that he had a 13-year-old passenger in the vehicle with him.

The child was transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital where he was treated and released.

Tice was also charged with failure to utilize and interlock device after it was discovered that he was required to operate a vehicle equipped with an ignition interlock device due to having two previous DWI related convictions.

Tice was arraigned before the Town of Pleasant Valley Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. He is scheduled to return to the Town of Pleasant Valley Court at a later date.
