Dover woman arrested for felony driving while intoxicated

Dover, New York – On July 13, 2015, New York State Police from the Dover barracks arrested Dawn C. Brooks, 44 years old, of Dover, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Class E Felony.

Troopers were dispatched by Dutchess County 911 to a domestic incident in the Town of Dover.  Following an investigation conducted by responding officers, it was discovered that Brooks drove her vehicle in an intoxicated condition to speak with a family member.

Brooks was charged with Felony Driving While Intoxicated when an investigation revealed that she was convicted of DWI in 2012.

Brooks provided police with a breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .10% and was issued traffic tickets directing her to appear before the Town of Dover Court on July 16, 2015.
