WASHINGTON, D.C. – Two teenage girls were injured in a stabbing incident Monday afternoon outside a strip mall that houses a Five Guys restaurant in Northeast Washington, D.C., according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).
The incident occurred around 1:23 p.m. in the 2400 block of Market Street NE, prompting a swift response from officers in the Fifth District. Upon arriving at the scene, police found both teen victims conscious and breathing, each suffering from stab wounds.
Emergency medical teams responded quickly, and the injured girls received on-site care before being transported to a nearby hospital. Officials have not released the extent of their injuries or their current condition.
