Mary J. Flannery

Dover Plains – Mary Jeanne Flannery, 96, a lifelong resident of Dover Plains, NY died on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT. Mrs. Flannery was an attendant at the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center in Wingdale, NY for 28 years. Born on September 12, 1918 in Dover Plains, NY she was the daughter of the late James and Loretta (Carey) Callahan.

Mrs. Flannery is survived by a daughter, Kiki Brown and her husband, Lawrence, of Venice, FL; two brothers, Donald and Roger Callahan of Dover Plains, NY and two sisters, Emma Proper and Sally Boyd both of Dover Plains, NY. She is also survived by four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Flannery was predeceased by two husbands, Charles Napolitano and Patrick J. Flannery; two sons, John James Napolitano and Charles David Napolitano and six brothers, James D., Francis P., Raymond J., William J., Robert V. and David L. Callahan.

Calling hours will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Monday, June 8, 2015 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 4 Lavelle Rd., Amenia, NY with Rev. Kent Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Dover Plains, NY. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Flannery’s name may be made to the Center of Compassion, P.O. Box 665, Dover Plains, NY.
