Dorothy Preston D’Amato, 92, of Branford beloved wife of the late Alphonse D’Amato passed away on May 31, 2015 in Branford Hills Health Care Center. Loving mother of Linda Strom of North Haven CT, Alphonse D’Amato of Branford and the late Ronald D. D’Amato Sr. Mother -in- law of Diane Gorman D’Amato of Branford. Grandmother of Jennifer D’Amato, Ronald D. (Carmela) D’Amato Jr. and Amanda Strom. Great grandmother of Chiara Rosa. Sister of Harriet Mikolinski of North Haven and the late Estella Marciano, Marian Castlevetro, Douglas Preston and George Lindbergh. Dorothy was born in Wingdale, NY on August 17, 1922, daughter of the late Isaish and Ethel Rozzell Preston. Her funeral procession will leave 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80) East Haven THURSDAY morning at 10:30 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
