Michael Cunningham of Brewster convicted of sex abuse of girl 6
Michael Cunningham, 68, of Brewster was convicted by a jury of two counts of first-degree sexual abuse. He assaulted the girl after gaining the trust of her parents, a district attorney’s office news release said.
Cunningham, who was arrested in July, worked as a bus driver in the Brewster Central School District from 2000 to 2004 and was a former Pawling resident.
He now faces up to 14 years in prison when he is sentenced July 22. The case was investigated by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and the federal Department of Homeland Security.
