Edward Earle Twaddell, 68, a long-time resident of Holmes, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Putnam Hospital Center, Carmel, NY.

Born in Liberty, NY on September 26, 1946, he was the son of the late Merlin and Wilma (Beadle) Twaddell. Ed served his country in the US Army from 1965-69, and worked as a chief lineman for N.Y.S.E. & G. out of the Pawling area. On July 28, 1979 he married Susan Schreiber; she survives at home.

Ed was an avid sportsman who loved hunting, fishing, and target shooting. He was a member of the Pawling Fish & Game Club and the Outers Shooting Club. Ed was proudest of his small business, The Shot Shop, where he made friends of all his customers.

In addition to his wife, Ed is survived by his two sons, Kurt Twaddell and his wife Amy of Holmes and Oliver Twaddell of NYC; his daughter Olivia Twaddell of Pawling; his grandchildren Raymond Keith, Jonathan, Hayley, and Nicolina; his sister Marleen Bullis-Twaddell of Deposit, NY; and several nieces.

He is predeceased by his brother, Gary Twaddell.

Friends may call at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, Wednesday, February 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 10 AM.
