STORMVILLE – Frances A. Gray, 86, passed away on May 21, 2015 at Putnam Hospital Center. She was born and raised in Yonkers, and was a resident of Stormville since 1979.

She was a parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill for 25 years and served as an Extraordinary Minister. She was a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction for the past 11 years. Frances made her Cursillo in 1986 and completed Fr. Benedict Groeschel’s 2 year Spiritual Development Program.

Frances obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Iona College in New Rochelle. She was employed as a data analyst for Otis Elevator in Yonkers, and was invited to move with them to Farmington, CT when they merged with United Technology. She retired with a combined company employment service of 32 years. She was a full-time volunteer for 13 years in the infirmary at Graymoor in Garrison.

She is survived by her sister, Mary F. Gray of Stormville; her nieces, Pamela Gray Chadwick of CA, Laurie Gray Carson and her husband Christopher of CA, Elizabeth A. Nicholson of Rock Hill, and Ann Marie Wiendolski of Yonkers; her nephews, Michael Gray and his wife Juanita of CA and William G. Nicholson of Stormville; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur J. and Mary (Leeson) Gray; her brothers, Joseph R. Gray and his wife Dorothy, Richard C. Gray and his wife Mary, and Arthur Gray, Jr.; her sister, Martha J. Gray Nicholson and her husband George; and her nephews, Peter Wenedolski and Douglas W. Nicholson. Frances will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, and aunt. She was devoted to her family and to those in need.

Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday from 2 -6 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc.
, 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 am at St. James the Apostle Church, 16 Gleneida Avenue, Carmel followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Yonkers.
