Millbrook, New York – On Friday, May 15, 2015 at approximately 9:53 AM, Dutchess County 911 received several calls from a man reporting that a female subject had entered Millbrook High School with a gun in her backpack. New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks, the Dover Plains barracks, and the Village of Millbrook Police Department responded to the Millbrook High School and to the residence of the 911 caller in the Town of Washington.

A subsequent search of the school district’s buildings and grounds were conducted with the assistance of school administrative staff.  However, nothing suspicious was found and the report appeared to be unfounded.

Response to the caller’s residence and subsequent interview of the 84-year-old caller revealed that he was confused and disoriented due to a medical condition.  He was subsequently transported by the New York State Police and Transcare EMS to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie for evaluation.
