Stanford, New York – On May 12, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Kevin C. Whalen, 35 years old, of Clinton Corners, New York, for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Misdemeanor.

At approximately 7:18 a.m., Troopers were dispatched by Dutchess County 911 to a domestic dispute occurring on the Taconic State Parkway, in the area of Bulls Head Road.  The victim contacted 911 and reported that she was traveling southbound on the Taconic State Parkway and being chased by the suspect.  Investigation revealed that the suspect was driving erratically positioning his vehicle in the middle of the roadway preventing the victim from getting to a safe location.

Troopers located Whalen at the Salt Point Turnpike exit where he had blocked the ramp preventing the victim from continuing to the Stewart’s Shop on.  Throughout the incident, there were two children inside of the victim’s vehicle.

Whalen was arraigned before the Town of Stanford Court and released on his own recognizance.  He is scheduled to return to Stanford Court on May 27, 2015.
