Memorial Day Observation at Sheriff’s Office

Members of the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office will gather at the Sheriff’s Office Headquarters at 150 N. Hamilton Street in Poughkeepsie on Thursday May 14, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. to observe Memorial Day. Visitors are encouraged to arrive at 9:00 a.m.

Members of both the Law Enforcement and Corrections Divisions will be in full dress uniform for the ceremony. Additionally, local dignitaries will be recognized and honored.

We will honor fallen law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect us from harm, as well as former members who have passed away. We will also take this time to recognize the brave and committed men and women who made, and continue to make, our nation and the other nations of the world safe.
