She was predeceased by her daughter Rosemary Mona and her two sisters, Joan Olsen and Helen Harte. She was also predeceased by her former husband, Albert Galluzzo. Rose was born in the Bronx to the late Howard and Hannah Sargent on May 21, 1925. Growing up in the Bronx, she was a die-hard Yankees fan.

Rose lived in the King’s Apartments in Pawling for many years where she had an abundance of friends and loved playing canasta with them in the community room; she loved to tell everyone how she taught her friends the game. For most of the past two years, Rose resided at The Plaza at Clover Lake in Carmel, NY. Once again she made many friends and loved participating in all of the activities they had to offer. She loved all of the staff at “The Plaza” and they became her extended family. The family would like to thank each and every one of the people there who were so kind and loving to their Mom. She spent her time at “The Plaza” feeling happy and joyful. Finally, the family would like everyone to remember their Mom’s mischievous sense of humor and the twinkle in her blue eyes.
