Concern Grows for Missing 14-Year-Old Girl in Germantown

GERMANTOWN, Md. – Detectives with the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division are asking for the public’s help in locating Sophie Nagella Ridore, a 14-year-old girl who has been reported missing from the Germantown area.

Sophie was last seen on Thursday, June 5, 2025, around 2 p.m. in the 12400 block of Hickory Tree Way, a residential area in Germantown. Since then, there has been no confirmed contact or sightings.

She is described as being 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds, with brown eyes and red and black hair. Authorities have not indicated whether her disappearance is believed to be suspicious, but due to her age, they are treating the case with urgency.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen Sophie or has any information about her whereabouts to come forward immediately. Time is critical in missing juvenile cases, and even small details could prove vital to bringing her home safely.
