EAST FISHKILL – George W. Delamater, 60, a resident of Stormville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Peekskill, George was the son of George J. Delamater and Helen Towers. He was the second eldest of eight children. George worked as an auto technician for 42 years. Most recently, he worked at Ingersoll of Pawling. He had a great love for fixing cars, cycling, wine, movies, boxing, grilling, working on outdoor projects, and mowing the lawn with his beloved tractor but most importantly he loved spending time with his family.

On April 24, 1976, George married Lesley Maffei who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Michelle Billman of Stormville, and Jesse and Anita Delamater of Stormville. George also leaves his beloved dogs Mocha “Bud Bud” and Jazzy; his brothers and sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5pm at, 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction with a Memorial Service at 4:30pm.
