United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region Hosting a Pull the Tank Fundraiser
All funds raised will help support local veterans.
POUGHKEEPSIE & MONTGOMERY, NY – United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region is excited to announce its upcoming competition, Pull the Tank, on June 10, 2023 at 10:00 AM, to support Mission United. The event is a unique opportunity for participants to come together, test their strength and make a positive impact on their community.
Pull the Tank is a fundraising challenge that involves teams of 20 pulling a 76,000 pound World War Two Combat Sherman Tank combined with a 40,000 pound flatbed (116,000 pounds total) along a 50-foot stretch in the shortest time possible. The event will take place at the Orange County Airport in Montgomery, NY, and is open to anyone willing to participate. Pre-registration is required.

We encourage everyone to participate and help us make a difference in the lives of those who have served our country.”
Participants can register for Pull the Tank as individuals or as part of a team. Teams are encouraged to fundraise and can compete for prizes based on their fundraising and pulling performance. The event will also feature goody bags, community sponsorship tables and other activities for participants and spectators to enjoy.
