John R. Acklin, of Bandera, TX passed away suddenly on Friday, May 12, 2023. Born on June 14, 1962 in Sharon, CT, he was the son of the late Donald Lee and Ella Marie (Wilcox) Acklin.
Mr. Acklin attended Hudson High School. He previously worked as an Irrigation Technician in the Landscaping Department at Sea World in San Antonio, TX.
John leaves behind a grieving wife, Sarah Baker, of Bandera, TX. Along with sons, Benjamin Campos and Richard “Lee” Sweeney; a daughter, Nicole L Nelson, and his wonderful grandchildren: Alice, Scarlett, and Morgan Nelson.
John will be missed by his siblings: Donna (Matt) Sweet of Hudson, NY; Valerie Acklin of Rensselaer, NY; Roy (Janice) Acklin of Lanesboro, MA; Ricky (Sharon) Acklin of Loveland, OH; Donald Acklin Jr of Hudson; and Candace (Harold) Lansing of Hudson, NY. John is also survived by many nieces and nephews who will cherish the jokes, laughter and smiles they shared.
In addition to his parents, John is predeceased by two brothers: Albert and Allen Acklin.
