Obituary, Jule (Morgan) Hearn

Jule (Morgan) Hearn, 94, passed away surrounded by family after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimers.

Born in Montgomery, Alabama in 1929, Jule moved around the south, eventually settling with her family in Georgia. At the age of 18, Jule met the love of her life while working as a clerk in WWII. In 1947, Jule went on to marry Robert “Mike” Hearn and start the family that they would soon dote on for years to come.

As Jule’s family grew, she transitioned her focus to raising her children and running her home. She raised her daughter and 3 sons in Stamford, CT and then North Salem, NY. When the kids got older she worked as an Executive Secretary or Administrative for a number of companies, including: Hilti Fastening Systems, TWA and Lerand Securities before officially retiring to a life of content grandmothering.

Jule enjoyed crocheting and gardening, and was an avid and talented quilter, with many of her beautiful pieces having been passed down to family to cherish for years to come. Above all, Jule was a proud mother and “Nannie” of 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Jule was always up for an adventure, having even tried parasailing over the Caribbean at 81 years old, and continuing to challenge the status-quo until the very end. Jule will be remembered for her ability to light up a room with her contagious smile and her smooth southern drawl.

Jule will be greeted by her husband, Mike, of 58 years; son, Robert; parents, brother Frank and her great-grandson, Austen.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Dana Dickens; Michael and his wife, Cindy; Steve and Doug as well as her grandchildren, Jason; Adam; Michelle; Jesse and his wife, Adrianne; Jennifer and her husband, Bryan; Heather; Kate; Kim and her husband, Adam; Matt and Hannah, as well as 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
