Anna Margaret Watkins, 92, a longtime resident of Poughquag, NY, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at her home in Poughquag with her loving daughter by her side. Mrs. Watkins was a secretary at Readers Digest in Pleasantville, New York.
Born on July 11, 1930 in Valhalla, New York she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (Ellis) Chaleski. On May 20, 1948 in Kentucky she married Thomas Watkins who predeceased her on July 12, 1996. Mrs. Watkins was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time outdoors. She loved her trips to area Casinos with friends and family.
Mrs. Watkins is survived by a daughter, Patricia Pippa of Poughquag, NY, and a grandson, Randall Pippa and his wife, Elizabeth. Besides her parents, Mrs. Watkins was predeceased by a son, Joseph Watkins; a brother, Joseph Chaleski; a sister, Jane and a grandson, Christopher Watkins.
Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
