State Police arrest Southeast man for Assault 1st and Menacing 2nd after shooting another man in the leg

Southeast, New York – On April 9, 2023, the New York State Police responded to a residence on Ridgebury Road in the town of Southeast for a domestic dispute between a stepfather and stepson.

Responding units located the victim, a 55 year-old male, suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower leg.   The victim was transported to Danbury Hospital in stable condition.

The suspect, Harrison M. Salisbury, age 21, of Southeast, was subsequently arrested for Assault in the 1st degree, a class B felony, and Menacing in the 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Salisbury was arraigned before the town of Southeast Court and remanded to the Putnam County Jail.

The State Police were assisted by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.
