Investigation Continuing into Body Recovered from Hudson River

The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reports the recovery of a dead body from the Hudson River on 4/10/23.

On 4/10/23 at approximately 10:00 am the Sheriff’s Office was alerted that a possible body had been observed in the river near the Mid-Hudson Bridge. At that time the Sheriff’s Office Marine Patrol responded to the scene and recovered the body with the assistance of a Hyde Park Marina employee. The body appears to be that of a female.

The investigation into the identity of the deceased and manner of death is continuing by Sheriff’s Office Detectives in conjunction with the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office, and more information may be released at a later time once it becomes available. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office, the Town of Lloyd Police, and the City of Poughkeepsie Fire Department.
