Born on February 19, 1948 in Plattsburgh, NY, he was the son of the late Earl and Dora (Duffina) Nephew. Mr. Nephew proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of American Legion Post #1748 in Lake Katrine, NY. Mr. Nephew was also an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed hunting.
He is survived by two daughters, Helena Bailey of Clifton Park, NY and Joddie Smith and her husband, Jeffrey, of Kingston, NY. He is also survived by a sister, Rachel Cropley of Sevierville, TN; five grandchildren, Alyssa Bailey, Brooke Shultis, Hailie Shultis, Crystal Carman and Angelina Tennien; a great-granddaughter, Nova Worrell; his companion, Janine Lasch of Wingdale and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Nephew was predeceased by three sisters, Clara King, Lorraine Bracey and Barbara Koskowski.
