Pawling Woman Charged with Sexual Abuse of Student

Angela N. Hill, age 23 of PawlingThe Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Angela N. Hill, age 23 of Pawling, in connection with a recent investigation into inappropriate sexual contact with a juvenile student in the Pawling Central School District.

The investigation began in mid-February of 2023 after the Sheriff’s Office was alerted to possible inappropriate sexual contact between a district employee and student. Ms. Hill was subsequently arrested by Sheriff’s Office Detectives on 3/2/23, and at this time is accused of having sexual contact with the juvenile student on school grounds. At this time no further information will be released in order to protect the victim’s privacy and future court proceedings.

Ms. Hill has been charged with 2 counts each of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Sexual Abuse 2nd degree, which are both misdemeanors. After being processed she was released, and is due to appear before the Town of Pawling Court on 3/9/23 at 6:30 pm.

The Sheriff’s Office and Pawling Central School District have worked closely together during this investigation and will continue to do so as it proceeds. As with any criminal case the charges described above are merely accusations, and Ms. Hill is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
