Catherine Mary Farrell, 79, a long-time resident of Patterson, NY, passed away on March 1, 2023, at Northern Westchester Medical Center, Mount Kisco, NY.
Cathy was born on May 28, 1943, in Yonkers, NY, the daughter of the late William and Evelyn (Yankocy) Graap. She married Franklin “Frank” Farrell in Yonkers, NY on February 3, 1963; he survives at home.
Cathy was a court clerk for the Magistery of Patterson, Patterson, NY, and worked for many years at Birch Hill/Big Birch ski slopes in Patterson.
A communicant of St. John’s Church in Pawling, Cathy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved gardening and flowers, cooking for family and friends, and all kinds of animals, especially her two dogs, Muffet and Shalimar.
In addition to her husband Frank, she is survived by her daughters, Christina Buchanan and Kimberly Cardona, both of Pawling, Angela Paganelli of Hyde Park and Jamie Harrison of Tuckahoe; two grandchildren, Billy Buchanan and Francesca Cardona; and her brother William Graap of Albany.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 11 AM at St. John’s Church, 92 East Main Street, Pawling, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Memory of Cathy may be made to the Putnam County SPCA, 47 Gleneida Avenue, Carmel, NY 10512.
