Steven Diaz, 39, a longtime resident of Millerton, NY, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023, at his home in Millerton. Steven was direct care worker for Greystone in Amenia, NY.
Born on September 12, 1983 in the Bronx he was the son of Vincent and Maria (Olivo) Diaz both of Millerton. On June 5, 2012 in Poughkeepsie, NY he married Alicia Miles who survives at home. Steven was a local DJ and enjoyed all types of music. He was a car enthusiast and also enjoyed computers and new tech.
He loved summer nights driving his death star and blasting music. He loved watching his son build his Lego sets and hear his stories. Every night he would laugh and have dance parties with his little princess before bed. He and his wife have been together since high school and were best friends and soulmates. He had a contagious smile and would brighten everyone’s day he came a cross. He loved to have a good time and be with those he loved and cherished. He had a huge personality and would leave a lasting memory everywhere he went.
In addition to his loving wife and parents, Steven is survived by two children, Liam and Alana Diaz both of Millerton, NY. He is also survived by two brothers, Vinny Diaz of Poughkeepsie and Daniel Diaz of Torrington, CT; three nephews, Daniel Diaz, Luca Valdes and Niko Valdes and a sister-in-law, Sarah Valdes and her husband, Lester, of New Milford, CT. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Brian and Mary Miles of Ancramdale and his grandmother-in-law, Alice Palmer of Ancramdale.
