Copake man arrested for sexually abusing child

Copake, New York – On February 22, 2023, the New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested Steven S. Kipp, age 22, of Copake, for Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors in the 1st degree, a class D felony, Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors in the 2nd degree, a class E felony, and Sexual Abuse in the 3rd degree, a class B misdemeanor.

After receiving a law enforcement tip Investigators from SP Livingston began investigating possible sex crimes against a child in the town of Copake in January 2023.  Investigation determined Steven Kipp sent indecent material and sexually abused a child under the age of 15-years-old.

Kipp was arraigned before the Honorable Judge Schermerhorn of the town of Copake Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail.
