Obituary, Robert F. Memoli Sr.

Robert F. Memoli Sr. 78 of Amenia, NY, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at his home after losing a battle to cancer. He was born on May 14, 1944, in Stamford, Connecticut and was the son of the late Jeannette and Michael Memoli.

Robert loved spending time with his family and cherished his long-time friendships. He was retired but loved to keep busy working in his garage. He enjoyed building things and teaching his skills to others while giving a helping hand.

He is survived by his wife, Linda, whom he loved and adored and four daughters, Tina Powell of Amenia, Tammy Brennan and her husband, Samuel, of Amenia, Mary Spadaccini and her husband, Robert, of Millerton and Karen Slatter and her husband, Timothy, of Millerton. He is also survived by three step children, Todd Bowen of Dover Plains, Jessica Deanda and her husband, Leo, of Pleasant Valley and Scott Bowen and his wife, Lisett, of Wappingers. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, Keri, Jessica, Chelsi, Skye, Kristin, Kayla, Krista, Robert, Brandon, Derek, Alex, Tiffany, Christopher, Juliana, Lilly, Gabe, Leo, Rosie and Gabby and 20 great grandchildren: Amelia, Delilah, Noelle, Rohen, Ezrah, Jayden, Jordan, Kaylin, Bradley, Jackson, Aria, Maddox, Madelynn, Clayton, Crew, Levi, Khloe, Brooke, Kinsley, Isabella. Robert is also survived by his siblings Anna Borisovs and her husband, John, Doreen Memoli, Richard Memoli and his wife, Ceil, Deborah Henthron and her husband, Larry, Pamala Harrison, Linda Scott, Cindy DeParle and her husband, Don, Melinda Memoli and several nieces, nephews, and his cat, Peaches.

He was predeceased by his son Robert Jr. and siblings: Phillip, Ronnie, Michael, Gary and Edward.

The life that Robert “Bobby” created for himself was filled with love and laughter. He will be eternally missed and the wonderful memories of him will be cherished forever.

Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. R. Kent Wilson officiating. Burial at St. Charles Cemetery in Dover Plains will be private.
