Obituary, Shannon E. Druckreier

Shannon E. Druckreier, 48, a resident of Dover Plains, NY, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at home surrounded by loved ones, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 26, 1974, in Mount Kisco, NY.

Shannon loved her family and friends with all of her heart. There is nothing she wouldn’t do for anyone, she was always there when people needed her. Her smile lit up every room she walked into. She shared a love for broadway theater, 80s and country music, and romance novels, and was very proud of her snapchat streaks. Shannon attended many broadway shows with her favorites being; Wicked, Something Rotten, Chicago, Kinky Boots, and Waitress.

For 9 years Shannon worked as a School Bus Driver for First Student, and was the director of Town of Dover Senior Program. In the summer, she was Dover Rec. Theater Company’s co-director. Shannon adored everyone of her theater kids, and theater parents.

Shannon is survived by her mother Christine Power (Druckreier), her two children Alexandra and Andrew Blades, her sisters Katherine Nodine, Kristie Pape, Jessica Power, and Stephanie Power, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Shannon is predeceased by her husband Jeremy Blades, stepfather Stephen Power, and grandparents Rita and Robert Druckreier.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at the American Legion Post #1949, 1797 Route 22, Wingdale, NY.
