Obituary, Pasquale Iacurto

Pasquale Iacurto, 96, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 30, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Iacurto was a mechanic for Parkchester Management in the Bronx retiring in 1996.

Born on August 19, 1926, in Casacalenda, Italy he was the son of the late Carmine and Maddalena (Fantillo) Iacurto. Mr. Iacurto proudly served and was a Purple Heart recipient in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. On September 4, 1955, at St. Bridget’s Church in Brooklyn, NY he married Josephine Santangelo who survives at home.

In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Iacurto is survived by a daughter, Madeline Iacurto and her spouse, Cathy, of New Fairfield, CT and a son, Carmine Iacurto and his wife, Sharon, of Dover Plains, NY. He is also survived by a grandson, Jay Iacurto and his companion, Maria Totten, of Queens, NY and a granddaughter, Danielle Iacurto and her husband, Michael Mapes of Danbury, CT. Besides his parents, Mr. Iacurto was predeceased by a brother, Onofrio Iacurto.

Mr. Iacurto lived the American Dream; he came from little and built a beautiful home for his family whom he deeply adored. He loved working in his garden and spending time with his grandchildren. He was also parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Dover Plains.

Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, February 3, 2203, at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. John F. X. Palatucci officiating. Entombment will follow with military honors at the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
