Obituary, William “John David” Vieser

William “John David” Vieser

William “John David” Vieser passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 22, 2015. “John David” was born on the first day of spring, March 20th 1965, and spread sunshine to all those he touched throughout his life. “John David” was raised in Chatham Twp., NJ and spent most of his life in New Jersey or on his family’s farm in Walpole, New Hampshire. “John David” attended the Kildonan School and New England College. He started his career as a sales executive with American Electric and enjoyed success there before leaving to start his own business, Secure Shred LLC.

Secure Shred was one of the first mobile document shredding companies in the country, and was acquired after several years by Cintas Corporation. His greatest joy was watching his favorite sports teams, (Yankees, Cubs, Giants, and NY Rangers) or playing sports with his family and friends. “John David” was an accomplished skier, golfer, lacrosse player and bowler. He also loved to travel, play his guitar, and was a leading collector of sports memorabilia. “John David” was also an avid investor and a keen fisherman, but he enjoyed nothing more than sharing the company of his family in his home. “John David” had a loving, outgoing personality and made friends easily where ever life took him.

“John David” is survived by his adoring mother Lois, brothers Richard (Patricia) and Jaime (Melinda), sisters Cynthia Falco (Joseph) and Cheryl Kleckner, and his devoted nieces and nephews, Donald, Francesca, David, Joseph, Anne, Katherine, Alexandra, Bella, and Will. He was predeceased by his father, Richard William. His brothers and sisters will miss his enormous spirit, sense of humor, kindness and zest for life. His nieces and nephews miss his big bear paws and big hugs. His infectious laugh, heart-warming smile, generous heart and beautiful spirit will never leave us.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Kildonan School in Amenia NY, or to the Lustgarten Foundation.
