Peter J. Woichik, a lifetime resident of Wingdale, NY, passed away at his home on Thursday, December 29, 2022; he was 68.
Born in Sharon, CT on June 4, 1954, he was one of six children born to the late John and Blanche (Janus) Woichik. Peter attended Dover High School and Dutchess County BOCES. He was a mechanic, first at Kimberly Clark in New Milford, CT, and then at various garages, including Dutchess Auto Body in Pawling. In more recent years, he worked in his own garage in Wingdale.
He loved repairing cars and hunting.
He is survived by his partner of 15 years, Carol Eaton and their furbaby, April; brothers Joseph and wife Josie of Glendale, AZ, Michael and wife Patricia of Napa, CA, and John of West Valley UT; sisters Janet Kahler and husband Kim of Pierre, SD and Susan Schuck and husband Bill of Hyde Park, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, January 9, 2023 from 3-5 PM at the Horn & Thomes, Inc Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, NY with a brief service at the funeral home at 5 PM.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made in Pete’s name to Dutchess County SPCA.
