Robert G. Rogers, 81, a lifelong area resident passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at his home in Wassaic, NY. Mr. Rogers was a truck driver for Staats Dairy, Taylor Oil and at the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center.
Born on July 28, 1941, in Poughkeepsie, NY, he was the son of the late George and Margaret (Myers) Rogers. On May 31, 1969, in Dover Plains, NY he married Cynthia Ann Duncan who predeceased him on March 18, 2020. Mr. Rogers was an accomplished artist, and many of his paintings are on display throughout Dutchess County.
Mr. Rogers is survived by his loving son, Mark Rogers and his wife, Darcy, of Wassaic and a brother, Raymond Rogers of Millbrook. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Bethany Meunier and her husband, Andrew, Blake Rogers and his fiancé, Kim, Brody Rogers and his wife, Kelly, and Olivia and Madilyn Rogers. He is also survived by, three great-grandchildren, Ary Meunier, Harper Rogers, and Cynthia Rogers and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Rogers was predeceased by a son, George Rogers, and a sister, Patricia Rocker.
Graveside services and burial will take place at 12 noon on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Valley View Cemetery in Dover Plains.
