Verlina Marie (Sutherland) Cunningham, of Millbrook, NY passed away on November 9, 2022. She was born in Detroit, Michigan May 8, 1946 to the late Norman J Sutherland and Elinor I (Briggs) Sutherland. She is also predeceased by her sister Toni Sutherland and brother David Sutherland. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend.
She is survived by her brothers Jesse Sutherland and his wife Fran, Bill Sutherland and his wife Kathi, and sister Jill Sutherland all of Millbrook, NY, and sister in law Vicki Sutherland of California. Verna, Vern, Mama, Mama bear, is survived by her daughter, (El) Ellen Bilotta and husband Brad of Kenduskeag, Maine and son, Peter (Moose) Seigel, wife Carey, and grandson Andrew of Monroe, Georgia, niece Lisa Cattier and her children of Massachusetts, and nephew Dan Sutherland, his wife Wendy and their daughters of North Carolina.
As a nurse for many, many years she touched many lives and was a “Mom,” role model, and friend to many. She was so loved and will be missed beyond measure by her family, “kids,” and friends. Rest in peace Mama.
A Celebration of Life will be held May 8, 2023.
