Connecticut Man Charged with Rape of Minor

Axell Enrique Orellana FloresThe Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Axell Enrique Orellana Flores, age 21 of Waterbury CT, in connection with an investigation into inappropriate sexual contact involving a minor.

Mr. Flores was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau on 11/7/22 and is accused of having sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 17 in the Town of Fishkill on 11/6/22. The incident was not random, there doesn’t appear to be a risk to public safety, and at this time no further details about the case will be released in order to protect the privacy of the victim.

At this time Mr. Flores has been charged with Rape in the 3rd degree and Criminal Sex Act in the 3rd degree, which are both felonies. After being processed he was arraigned before the City of Beacon Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail, $5,000 bond, or $10,000 partially secured bond.
