Dorothy Cross, 79, passed October 26, 2022 surrounded by loved ones at her Pawling home. Dorothy was born April 12, 1943 in Spanish Town, St. Catherine, Jamaica to Adrianna and Harold. She leaves her two daughters; Antonette and Tracey-Ann and partner Frank, her son-in-law Eric, and her grandchildren Eric Jr. and Taylor.
Dorothy began a new chapter of her life when she moved to Staten Island in 1979. Working in insurance in Manhattan for both MONY and Mutual of America, she brought so much joy with her cheerful spirit and infectious laugh. Some of her best memories were brought to her in New York.
In 1985 she moved to Croton-on-Hudson and later moved to Pawling in 2005, where she was known by her community for her love of walking and enjoying nature.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Horn & Thomes, Inc Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling on Friday, November 4th from 9-10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, Pawling at 11:00 am.
