Harold “Jake” Smith, 83 of Amenia, NY passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT.
Born March 31, 1939, in Holmes, NY, he was the son of Joseph Smith and Florence Sprague Smith. Harold proudly served in the US Army from 1963-1965.
Mr. Smith worked for R.F. Brill in Pawling as a heavy equipment operator.
Mr. Smith is survived by a daughter Sarah and her husband Albert of Amenia NY, his sister Elaine Smith of Roscoe, NY. He is also survived by four grandchildren Jason of Wingdale NY, Jayme and Jenna of Amenia, NY, and Garett of Midland TX; three great grandchildren, Liam, Evan, and Isabella; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Mr.Smith was predeceased by two brothers Robert and Joseph Smith and two sisters Annette Lafountain and Dorothy Lee.
There are no services at this time.
