Elizabeth Holz Buehler, 87, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Putnam Hospital, Carmel, NY.
She was born on May 14, 1935, in Queens, NY to Annemarie Schneider and Max Holz. She was raised in Mt. Vernon and graduated from A.B. Davis High School.
On June 18, 1954, she married Edward Buehler in Salisbury, Austria; her husband predeceased her on April 22, 1996.
A resident of Pawling since 1958, she was employed at Pawling Rubber Corporation for 35 years as a secretary and Purchasing Agent for their Rubber Mixing Division.
Liz was a charter member of the Lutheran Church of Christ the King in Pawling. She participated in the exercise program for over 20 years and volunteered in the gift shop at the Kane House. An avid reader, Liz enjoyed gardening and attending Penny Socials with her daughter. Family birthday and holiday dinners were the highlights of her life.
She is survived by her daughter Lori Alongi of Westerly, RI, her son Edward Buehler and wife Kelly Ann of Sherburne, NY, and her daughter Lisa Anderson of Pawling; six grandchildren, Edward Buehler, Crystal Neceda, Jessica & Shannon Anderson, and Ashley & Jennifer Alongi; five great-granddaughters and two great- grandsons; two sisters, Maxine Davis of Kingman, AZ and Norma Chilcutt of Salt Lake City, UT; one sister-in-law and one brother-in-law; and many nieces & nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 26th at 11 AM in South Dover Cemetery, Wingdale, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Memory of Liz may be made to Christ the King Lutheran Church, 14 Pine Drive, Pawling, NY 12564.
