Obituary
Caitlin Elizabeth Utter, 27, a lifelong area resident, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 22, 2022. Born on February 7, 1995 in Danbury, CT, she was the daughter of Bonnie Lin A. Utter Jones of Wingdale, NY and Michael Llanes of Highland, NY. Caitlin was a graduate of Dover High School Class of 2013. Anyone who knew Caitlin knew she had a big heart for those she loved, especially her son.
Besides her parents, she is survived by a son, Liam David of Wingdale, NY; her stepfathers, Donald Corey of Claverack NY and Matthew Jones of Wingdale, NY; her maternal grandmother, Catherine Utter of Pawling, NY and paternal grandparents, Thomas and Sally Llanes, of Poughkeepsie, NY; sisters, Shannon Corey, her fiancé Jesse Acevedo and their son Luca Acevedo of Wingdale, NY, Erin Corey of Wingdale, NY and Rebecca Llanes of Clifton Park, NY; brother, Ethan Llanes of Clifton Park, NY. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and stepsiblings. Caitlin will remain the brightest light in their lives as she lives now in their hearts. Her family takes solace in knowing that Caitlin is now at peace with some of her favorite people.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family at St. John’s Cemetery, 1 East St., Pawling, NY. Caitlin will be laid to rest with her grandfather, David Utter, whom she adored.
