**UPDATE** State Police are investigating a personal injury hit and run crash involving a State Trooper on I-95, Westchester County.

The Trooper was treated for multiple injuries at Westchester Medical Center and has since been released, continuing recovery at home.  State Police are still seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the vehicle that left the scene of the
crash.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Troop T Headquarters at 518-436-2825.

Port Chester, NY – On September 8, 2022, at approximately 8:46 p.m., a marked State Police car was parked on the shoulder of I-95, southbound, in the area of mile marker 14.9.  An unknown vehicle traveling southbound, struck a State Trooper who was walking back to the patrol car after removing debris from the roadway.  The Trooper was injured and transported to the hospital for treatment.  The vehicle failed to stop and continued south on I-95.
State Police are requesting the public to call 518-436-2825 if you witnessed the crash or have any information.
Currently, the right and center lanes, between Exit 21 and the Connecticut State line, are blocked due to the investigation.  More information will be released when it becomes available.
